Green Gables Summer

Did anybody else love the book Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery when you were a kid? It is one of my all time favorite books and I absolutely adore everything about it. That is the kind of summer I want to have this year. Imagining myself on Prince Edwards Island, living my best life like I am in the Edwardian era. I want to have a green gables summer, and spend my entire summer dressed like I am living life with Anne frolicking through the woods. Here is some style inspiration so that you can also have a green gables summer if you so please!

I don't know if they had sunscreen back in the early 1900s, but I do know that in the book they wore lots of hats. I like to imagine that Anne would have worn a straw hat during the summer time. This hat reminds me of something that she would wear to shield her fiery red hair from the sun.
